Do you want to be part of creating high-quality journalism? Then come and work with us at the Ålandstidningen editorial office this summer. Do you love news? Are you curious about society and people? At Ålandstidningen, you will be involved in creating local quality journalism right in the center of events.
About Ålandstidningen
At the Ålandstidningen editorial office, about 20 reporters, photographers, and editors work together. Together, we produce daily news for all of Ålandstidningen's channels. We cover everything related to Åland with a focus on topics such as politics, business, culture, entertainment, and sports. Our working language is Swedish. Our news reaches 80 percent of all Ålanders daily, and the newspaper plays an important role in the local societal debate. With us, you will constantly learn new things, and there is never a long way to laughter. The summer is crowned with a party for our substitutes.
About the role
As a summer photographer, you are constantly on the move. You work closely with the reporters out in the field to document what is happening, but you also go on your own assignments. You take both news and feature photos as well as videos. The pace is high, and you also work evenings and weekends.
About you
We want you to be curious and driven. Experience in photography – either through studies or practical work experience – is a plus. You work towards tight deadlines and need to be able to work independently with great personal responsibility. A driver's license for a car is a requirement. If you are studying journalism or photography, you may be eligible for a scholarship when doing your internship with us.
